Rock! Paper! Scissors!
tools for anarchist + Christian thought and action
Greetings Jesus Radicals,
We hope you are finding joy to sustain yourselves and communities as we enter into this new year, filled as it may be with uncertainty and a host of seemingly insurmountable evils. May the spirit of the living God blow behind you that you might live faithfully into acts of bold and loving resistance this year.
Here at jesusradicals.com, the new year is bringing some changes that we are excited to share with you. Over the last several months we have been re-envisioning the Jesus Radicals blog as we, the JRad organizers, have perceived a need to hone the content of the blog. We are looking to develop deeper analysis and build conversation around particular themes that are relevant to our communities.
To that end, we will be laying to rest our reader-submitted blog (all of which will still be accessible through an archive on the website) and launching a new experiment to bring readers fresh and inspiring content. Beginning in the spring of 2018 we will be releasing a new web-based, tri-annual journal called Rock! Paper! Scissors!: tools for anarchist + Christian thought and action. Each issue of Rock! Paper! Scissors! will be topic-focused and curated by a guest editor who has on-the-ground experience in, knowledge of, and connections to others doing work around the featured topic.
Our first issue, curated by Jesus Radicals organizer and Iconocast host Joanna Shenk, is titled The Movement Makes Us Human. A call for content for this first issue is being developed and will be posted soon. If you think that you may be suited to curate and edit a future issue of Rock! Paper! Scissors!, please send your pitch for topics to email@example.com.
The JRad team
Rock! Paper! Scissors! is a tri-annual, topic-focused, web-publication exploring the intersections of anarchist politics and Christian faith. Through following the way of Jesus in the shadow of empire, we seek to undermine systems of oppression and creatively explore possibilities for liberation from an anarchist or radical christian perspective.
