Against
political activism by believers to curb the trend of moral decay in America
On your Thursday show you had I believe Terry as a guest discussing things that seem to happen conveniently at precise moments when other more abhorrent things are happening behind the scenes in Washington. Specfically the story of "prior knowledge about 9-11 events before 9-11 by Bush" surfacing at the same time "smoke filled room discussions of fast tract legislation for the President to control trade..." which would be a constitutional overstep. This type of thing has been happening for years. Clinton did the same thing, starting the US entrance into the war in Bosnia in order to take the attention off of investigations into improprieties at the White House...namely the Monica Lewinski deal. Virtually every President, Republican or Democrat, or their handlers, have done this type of thing going back 60-70 years and maybe further. This is another reason why Christians trying to control politics and turn the cultural tide through political means will never work. What you see in the political process is only the tip of the iceberg. Some say that there is great "conspiracy" in all that goes on in politics and I would not disagree totally with this idea. I do not believe that anyone could prove this kind of super-clandestine cooperation is going on in between groups bent on total control as the conspiratorialists such as the John Birch Society would have people believe to be true. However, there is an incrementalism that is happening. Rush Limbaugh has made references to this fact by comparing the rhetoric of Kennedy with modern day conservative politicians speech content. It is so comparable that one would have to say that the conservatives of today have lowered themselves to yesterdays liberal threshold. So we can see that there is a downward incrementalism from just this simple example. A believer can cartainly read their Bible and see a conspiracy on the part of the enemy of our souls since the beginging of time. This is where I think conspiracy really originates and operates. Human agencies and societies are merely blind complicitous partners in what even they could not even fathom. This is the enemy's world! See Matt. 4:8-11 Jesus did not even disputes this fact. For the believer to march into its halls of power in this world, even though it is said that we have the right in this country to do so, and try to establish and maintain a moral standard is absurd! The government has not the means to establish morality anyway. In addition,
to these few problems for the believer in regards to using politics they
way conservatives have tried for the past 40 years, is the fact that we
know from the Bible that the world is going to end in a specific way.
Our presense as believers in this "end" is argued over because
of various views of endtime porphecy interpretations. However, views of
end times do not resolve problems nor do they determine for fact how things
will really play out. Many religious people have been wrong about understanding
prophecy and applying what they interpret properly;Pharisees, Fundamentalist,
Cults and many Christians.... The point I am trying to make is that we
could be ignorant complicitous partners in the destruction of "traditional
culture" for those who are concerned about such things, as well as
the abolition of the sovereignty of nations, the implementation of the
One-World Government system, the world's new monetary system and many
other things. All while we are naively trying to hold back the busted
damn of self-serving human purpose that will culminate in antichrist system,
which the current systems are rapidly giving way to. No thinking person,
given the word of God, could deny that the current events of this world
are headed towards the final end times at terminal velocity. We are at
the point of sudden impact! Why do Christians want to justify themselves by showing they can work through the mechanics of the world's system to try and accomplish what we have been commanded to do. Doesn't this seem masochistic and sinful? Why didn't Paul or Jesus take over the Roman Senate and force the right beliefs and morals on the societies of their day? Hmmmmmm! As you like to say. It would
seem that "believers" in this country are the most ignorant
and naive people on the face of the earth because we have the means to
do what is not only right but to be much more effective than we have been.
