Core Organizers

Nekeisha AB, Jesus Radicals
Nekeisha is the co-founder of Jesus Radicals and co-organizer of its annual anarchism and Christianity conference. She is an occasional writer and speaker with numerous interests including animal ethics from a Christian and anti-oppression perspective. She joined the Anabaptist/Mennonite tribe in 2003 and works for anti-racist transformation within the church.

CarlosCarlos Espin, Area Fifteen
Carlos is a founder of Area Fifteen and constant networker in the Charlotte community. He refuses to give himself a neat little title for what he does at Area Fifteen. Let’s just say he’s the guy who makes sure everything runs smoothly at the 23,000-square-foot warehouse that’s home to a loose confederation of artists, small businesses, and do-gooder groups.

Jason WilliamsJason Williams, Hyaets Community
Jason is a member of the Hyaets Community on the West Side of Charlotte, NC. He is married to Joanie, has two daughters, Joy Kate and Nora, and is passionate about economic and class justice as well as anti-empire and liberation theologies.

Working Groups

This year, our planning process includes several working groups charged with developing specific areas of the gathering experience. This structure, which involves locals from the co-hosting community and past-attendees, allows more diverse voices to shape what happens at the event. These groups are still forming so stay tuned for more info on who is involved.
